  1.  Object Tool     
  2.     The Object tool is used to activate one or more item and to
  3.  reposition  items.  An item is active when it is first created, and can
  4.  be activated by clicking on it. An active item is indicated  by the 
  5.  presence of handles that are used to resize the item (graphic
  6.  elements) .  An item remains active until you click outside of it.  
  7.      To activate multiple items:  
  8. First, hold the Shift key and click on inactive items.  
  9. Shift-click on active items to remove them from a multiple selection. 
  10. Second, click outside of an item and drag the mouse.  When the area
  11.  marked in this way overlaps inactive items, they are added to the group selection.
  12.    To move an item, it must first be active. The pointer shape changes
  13.  from the Arrow into a Crosshair when it is over an active
  14.  item.  Click and drag the mouse to move the item.  An
  15.  outline of the item is displayed during the drag.
